Tournament Team Tryouts
All Lady Colts Tournament Teams begin their season in August and run throughout the competitive year.
📅 Tryout Windows
June – July (Primary Tryout Season)
• Our main evaluation period for the upcoming season
• Conducted across multiple days and sessions
• Allows for a more complete and accurate player evaluation
January (Midseason Tryout – MLK Weekend)
• Held over Saturday & Sunday (MLK Weekend)
• Used for roster openings, new team formation, and Fillies placement
🌟 June Tryouts – Main Evaluation Window
This is our largest and most important tryout period for both current and new athletes.
• Best opportunity to secure a roster spot
• Teams are often restructured due to age advancement
• New teams may be formed based on talent and numbers
• Ideal for athletes looking to enter or move within our pathway
👉 Age divisions are based on an August 1st cutoff, meaning many players transition into new divisions during this time.
⚡ January Tryouts – Secondary Opportunities
January evaluations are used for:
• Filling open roster spots
• Forming new teams if needed
• Placement into seasonal programs like Fillies
Our Tryout Process: Built Different
We do not believe in single-day evaluations.
Our tryouts include:
• Multiple skill session days leading up to final evaluations
• Opportunities to assess athleticism, coachability, effort, and game understanding
• A more complete view of each athlete over time—not just one performance
This allows us to place players in the right environment for their development and success.

Missed Tryouts? We’ve Got You.
We offer year-round player evaluations because we know timing doesn’t always line up—and talent doesn’t follow a schedule.
If you missed tryouts:
• You can join our Training & Development program at any time
• Continue building skills while being evaluated
• Be considered for future roster openings and opportunities (Request a Player Evaluation)
Once submitted, a coach or admin will contact you to schedule a visit.
